Computer networking is the field that focuses on connecting computers and other devices to share data, resources, and services. It covers the principles, technologies, and protocols that enable communication over local and wide-area networks, including the internet. Key concepts include network topologies, communication models like the OSI and TCP/IP layers, addressing and routing, switching, wireless communication, and network security. By understanding how data travels across networks and how devices interact, learners gain the foundation needed to design, manage, and troubleshoot modern network systems.

This course provides a foundational understanding of Database Management Systems (DBMS), focusing on how data is stored, organized, and managed in modern computing environments. Students learn key concepts such as data models, relational database structures, SQL querying, normalization, and transaction management. The course explores the architecture of DBMS software, data integrity, security, and the role of databases in applications. Through hands-on exercises, learners gain practical skills in designing database schemas, writing SQL queries, and understanding how DBMSs ensure reliability and efficiency. By the end of the course, students will be able to design, implement, and manage basic relational databases.
